To coincide with the launch of its Athleisure Mall, in June 2019 the Canberra Centre hosted a panel of Australian sportswomen to discuss their personal journeys and share how they reached the top of their respective sports.
‘Women in Sport: Rising to the top’ was a live panel discussion that offered rare insights into the career highlights, toughest moments and motivations of the panellists.
The Women in Sport panel was well received by the Canberra community, selling out to 50 highly engaged attendees on the day.

Canberra Centre General Manager Gary Stewart said that Canberra Centre was proud to be the ACT’s leading destination for dynamic retail experiences such as the Women in Sport panel.
“Events like this can give young or aspiring athletes a unique occasion to hear from and engage with their idols.
“Creating these opportunities helps us deliver a lively and diverse offering to excite and engage customers of all ages and interests,” Mr Stewart said.
The Women in Sport panel was just one in a series of regular panels and masterclasses hosted by the Canberra Centre, which aim to drive ongoing engagement and repeat visitation to the Centre.
