Merrifield City
A new suburban metropolis brimming with opportunity

Set on a vast greenfield site within Melbourne’s booming northern corridor, Merrifield City occupies the heart of Victoria’s largest mixed-use masterplanned community.

Envisioned as a new epicentre of suburban culture, this hotly anticipated retail and lifestyle hub is being delivered by QIC over a multi-year horizon in joint venture with MAB Corporation and Gibson Property Corporation, ultimately covering 30 hectares.

The first stage, comprising a major Coles supermarket and range of best-in-class independent retailers spread over 7000m2, was opened in two carefully coordinated phases between December 2020 and April 2021. In addition to new grocery options, the centre has brought much-needed essential services and lifestyle amenity to local residents and those working at Merrifield Business Park. Among these is a GP clinic, unisex hairdresser and fast-casual restaurants.

Merrifield is 30km from Melbourne CBD with easy access to the Hume Freeway and planned Outer Metropolitan Ring Road. Defined by young families and couples in possession of new homes and hopes, Merrifield's total trade area population is expected to swell from around 67,000 in 2021 to more than 224,000 in 2041.*
